Duey does it!! Services was born on the idea that someone is available to home owners that can properly shut down, monitor, and start up their seasonal properties.
We were founded by Duane "Duey" Craven in 2011. Duey spent many years working within the construction industry as a painting contractor, carpenter, and project manager. After moving to Zephyrhills, Florida in 2003, he became involved working as a project manager remodeling and restoring park model mobile homes in this "Snowbird" community. One project in particular had Duey thinking of a new business idea. He was called in to look at a seasonal home that the owners, Bob & Diane Bowe, had vacated earlier in the year. Several months after they had left, the landscaper noticed water dripping from the bottom of their home. Further investigation showed the damage was extensive. A leak had developed within the bathroom plumbing, and ruined most of the home's flooring, ductwork, cabinetry, and some of the sheetrock. Fortunately, Duey and his team were able to save the home, and repairs were made. The Bowes were able to continue enjoying their winter home in Florida. However, all of the inconvenience and cost of the repairs could have been avoided had someone made sure the water was properly turned off when they left. Moreover, maybe some of the damage could have been avoided if someone would have been checking on the place periodically while they were away. As an added convenience, wouldn't it be nice to arrive from your long trip back, to a home that was ready to live in? Your water would be on, and the plumbing already checked for leaks. A comfortable home, hot water, and a cold refrigerator await. Regardless of when you arrive, day or night, flick on the switch, and you're home! In September of 2011, Bob and Diane Bowe became Duey does it!! Services' first loyal customer. They remained one of his many satisfied customers for 6 seasons until selling their home in 2017.
In 2016 after a 1 year internship, Jim Shurtz became our 1st Independent Contractor and worked with and cared for the homes of 100s of clients for over 5 years until his retirement in 2021. Anthony Parmer joined our team in 2021 and Tim Klauk in 2022 to the team and have taken over the bulk of our clients today as Independent Contractors. We look forward to future adding more satisfied clients and new Independent Contractors to the Duey does it!! Services family.
